Laser Therapy

Pet Laser Therapy

Chambers Creek Veterinary Hospital now offers Class IV Laser Therapy!

Laser Therapy is the use of specific wavelengths of light to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved wound healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation, and decreased inflammation. Laser Therapy can be used concurrently with other forms of treatment for pain.

Laser Therapy can help with the pain and inflammation of:

  • arthritis
  • soft tissue sprains
  • muscle strains
  • traumatic injuries
  • burns
  • chronic wounds
  • edema
  • post-surgical pain

There is no patient sedation or special restraint required. Occasionally the patient may feel mild, soothing warmth or tingling during treatment. Most pets do not need to have their hair clipped for treatment.

Although improvement may be seen within 12 to 24 hours after the first visit, most patients require several treatments (3 to 8) for greatest benefit. Treatments vary in length, but most sites require 2 to 8 minutes.

Please ask your veterinarian if your pet would benefit from Laser Therapy. Your veterinarian will recommend a treatment plan specific to your pet's needs.
